Tudor has just released a new edition of its Pelagos FXD that is sure to please the tool watch crowd.
Named the Pelagos FXD GMT “Zulu Time,” this watch builds on the legacy of Tudor and its connection to the Marine Nationale, but this time shifts its focus to the French Naval Aviation department. On top of getting a new flight-suit-inspired green strap, the entire watch receives a new function for keeping track of “Zulu time” (GMT).
Sitting at 42mm, the new Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT is made from grade 2 titanium and continues the fixed strap bars construction. Its bidirectional rotatable titanium bezel is fitted with a highly legible ceramic insert that has a 24-hour graduation filled with grade A “Swiss Super-LumiNova®” green emission.
Always pushing the value proposition with each new release, Tudor has matched this watch up with the COSC and METAS-certified Manufacture Calibre MT5652-U movement. Some of our favourite details in this watch include the orange “Zulu time” arrow-head 24-hour hand, Aéronautique navale (French Naval Aviation) logo engraved on the grade 5 titanium case back, and removable fabric keeper on the strap that’s dressed with the French Naval Aviation roundel.
Ready to take on what you throw at it, this watch is also protected up to a magnetic field of 15,000 gauss, waterproof up to 200m, and has a decent power reserve at 65 hours. Priced at HKD 36,300, the Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT “Zulu Time” is available now for order at most Tudor retailers in the city.
